If you’ve just finished The Poisoned Cup and popped over here out of curiosity, you’ve found the little online home of Poppy Whitmore and the Thimblewick Mysteries. This is where I’ll be sharing updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and news about upcoming adventures in our little village of thimbles, threads, and secrets.

For over a decade these stories have been quietly taking shape, first in half-filled notebooks and later in files tucked away on my computer. Only recently did I decide it was time to dust them off, give them a gentle polish, and share them with the world. Some details have been brought up to date—after all, when I first wrote Cousin Zig Zag, the idea of live-streaming felt impossibly futuristic. Now it’s something even the most old-fashioned characters in Thimblewick can’t quite ignore. What hasn’t changed is the heart of the series: village life, sewing circles, and the sort of mysteries that feel as comfortable as a well-worn cardigan.

I’ve been delighted (and a little overwhelmed) by the lovely response so far. Seeing readers fall in love with Auntie Needle, the Stitchery, and of course the ever-mischievous Sir Whiskers has been a joy.

Right now, I’m hard at work on Book Four (yes you read that right, four!) — which means more tea, more trouble, and plenty of sewing-circle sleuthing. I can’t reveal much yet, but let’s just say… the quiet lanes of Thimblewick won’t stay quiet for long.
