Word Travels Fast in Thimblewick!

🧵 Our Friend Alex Spilled the Bobbins!

Well, it seems my secret’s out — Alex Askaroff has told the world about The Poisoned Cup! 🫖✨

If you’ve come over here after seeing his post, welcome to Thimblewick — a little village full of sewing machines, suspicious puddings, and more gossip than a church jumble sale.

When I wrote The Poisoned Cup, I imagined the kind of sewing shop where everyone pops in “just for a quick spool of thread”… and somehow leaves three hours later knowing who’s arguing with the WI treasurer and what happened to Mrs. Mullins’s cat.

It’s a cosy crime mystery, yes — but also a bit of a love letter to village life, stitching, and the kind of friends who never quite keep your secrets.

So thank you, Alex, for the shout-out (and for keeping the vintage sewing world spinning). And if you haven’t yet read the book — the kettle’s on, the scissors are sharp, and someone in Thimblewick definitely knows more than they’re letting on…

🧵

With love,
