The Lost Art of Doing Nothing

There’s a rare moment in every week when the kettle has boiled, the cat has settled, and the to-do list has given up trying to get your attention. That’s when I remember the forgotten craft of doing absolutely nothing.

Not scrolling, not sewing, not sorting the cupboard under the stairs – just existing. Watching the light move across the wall, listening to the house creak, letting a mug of tea go cold because it’s too peaceful to move.

It’s not laziness. It’s maintenance. A tiny reset for the brain before life rushes back in with its pins and deadlines and “urgent” emails.

So here’s your reminder: make time to do nothing this week. You’ll be surprised how much it gets done. ☕🐾
