Welcome to Thimblewick.
A quiet village of sewing circles, strong tea… and the occasional suspicious death.
In this small English village, secrets are stitched into every seam and nothing stays hidden for long.
The Thimblewick Mysteries follow Auntie Needle and her eccentric circle of seamstresses as they unravel crimes with wit, warmth and a well-timed cup of tea.
Meet The Thimbles
Every village has its characters. In Thimblewick, they gather around teacups, fabric bolts, and the gentle hum of a sewing machine.
Auntie Needle
Elegant, sharp, and never afraid to speak her mind, Auntie Needle has an eye for detail and a talent for cutting through nonsense. If there’s a loose thread in Thimblewick, she’s already spotted it.
Uncle Seam Ripper
Gruff but loyal, Uncle Seam Ripper specialises in undoing mistakes — and occasionally causing them. Beneath the grumble lies a heart stitched tighter than anyone realises.
Cousin Zig-Zag
Creative, clever, and always slightly unconventional, Zig-Zag rarely takes the straight path. If something needs fixing, patching, or reimagining, she’s already halfway through the solution.
Granny Thimble
Warm-hearted and wonderfully unpredictable, Granny Thimble keeps the village stitched together — often quite literally. She misses nothing. Except, occasionally, where she left her spectacles.
Grandpa Bobbin
Patient, precise, and a little hard of hearing, Grandpa Bobbin believes most problems can be solved with steady hands and strong tea. He measures twice. Then measures again.
🐾 Sir Whiskers
Observant, impeccably groomed, and mildly judgmental, Sir Whiskers oversees proceedings from the best seat in the house. Nothing happens in Thimblewick without him knowing about it first.
Mama Stitch
Calm, capable, and quietly determined, Mama Stitch keeps everything running smoothly. If there’s a crisis brewing, she’s already threading the needle to fix it.
Papa Pincushion
Sturdy, dependable, and surprisingly sentimental, Papa Pincushion carries more than he lets on. Usually in his pocket. Along with three spare buttons and a small screwdriver.
Baby Button
Small, curious, and forever tangled in something, Baby Button sees the world as one big adventure. Usually from the floor — clutching something he probably shouldn’t have.

The Poisoned Cup
